Investment Strategy
Andros leverages its deep sector-specific expertise to build sustainable businesses with durable cash flows in partnership with talented entrepreneurs and to structure and scale investments based on the needs of energy companies. The firm is primarily focused on middle market transactions, each requiring between $100 and $500 million of equity, with an ability to make much larger commitments with co-investment from its limited partners.

The Andros credit opportunities platform focuses on dislocated assets and distressed situations in the energy sector. Asset Acquisition & Development
Andros is an active acquirer of both producing and undeveloped leasehold, working interests, mineral and royalty interests and midstream infrastructure assets. The firm leverages its technical expertise and operating experience to invest in high-quality assets across multiple domestic basins.
Leadership
Phillip Gayle, Jr – Founder & Managing Partner
Mr. Gayle is the Founder and Managing Partner of Andros Capital Partners and Chairman of the firm’s Executive and Investment Committees. Prior to founding Andros, Mr. Gayle was Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Millennial Energy Partners, an oil and gas investment firm and asset manager, where he served as a Member of the Investment Committee and as President of the firm’s various managed investment vehicles and operating subsidiaries. Prior to Millennial, Mr. Gayle served as Vice President of Business Development for Central Crude, Inc. where he managed commercial, land and business development functions for the company’s upstream and midstream operations. He holds a B.B.A. in Management and Entrepreneurship from Louisiana State University.
Preston Burkett – Partner
Mr. Burkett is a Partner at Andros Capital Partners and Member of the firm’s Executive Committee. He leads the firm’s deal sourcing, investment analysis, due diligence, execution and monitoring of active portfolio investments. Prior to joining Andros, Mr. Burkett was a Vice President at First Reserve where he focused on private equity investments across the upstream and midstream energy sectors. Mr. Burkett began his career as an Analyst in the Global Natural Resources Group and Barclays Capital. He holds a B.B.A. in Finance and Business Honors from the University of Texas at Austin.
